Raghavendra Swami

Raghavendra Swami,(1601-1671), was one of the influential saints in Hinduism, lived in the 17th century. He advocated Vaishnavism (i.e., worship of Vishnu as the supreme God.) and Dvaita philosophy. He is considered to be a reincarnation of Prahlada, the devotee who was saved by Vishnu, in his avatar of Narasimha by his devotees. Shri Raghavendra Swami is said to have performed many miracles during his lifetime and is believed to continue to bless his devotees to this day. Mantralaya in present day Andhra Pradesh is the abode of Raghavenra Swami. The Raghavendra Mutt in Mantralaya is visited by thousands of devotees every year.
