Radio Controlled Model

A radio controlled (R/C) model is a model that is steerable with the use of radio control. All types of vehicles imaginable have had R/C systems installed in them, including model cars, boats, and aircraft. While radio-controlled cars are commonly available in mass-market toy stores, R/C watercraft and aircraft are typically only found in hobby stores, online, or by mail order, and are frequently built from kits. In the case of aircraft, the size of the receiver and batteries necessitates a larger engine and airframe to carry it all, and R/C aircraft may be quite large, with wingspans of 2 meters or more. There are a wide array of manufacturers of equipment related to the R/C aircraft industry. In many countries magazines, industry support and guidance is available to help keep the hobby safe and enjoyable by a wide range of individuals. Radio-controlled watercraft include both model sailboats and motorized vessels. Some modellers build warships with working turreted guns that fire small pellets; the superstructures are made of thin balsa designed to easily replaceable, and the ships engage in mock battles where the goal is to damage the other ships' superstructures.
