RadicchioRadicchio (Cichorium intybus, Asteraceae) is a leaf chicory, sometimes known as Italian chicory. It is grown as a leaf vegetable that forms a compact head of red leaves with white veins. The ball shaped head is about the size of a clenched fist. It has a slightly bitter and spicy taste and mixes very well with other salad leaves, adding both colour and zest.
