Rof Puriton

ROF Puriton (Royal Ordnance Factory) is a factory producing high explosive munitions, situated near Puriton in the Sedgemoor district of Somerset, UK. The factory was commenced in 1939 and opened in 1941, served by the artificial River Huntspill, to supply munitions for World War II. It is currently owned by BAE Systems after the Royal Ordnance factories were privatised.
