Rbc Roosendaal

RBC Roosendaal is a Dutch football club formed in 31 July 1912 and was the brainchild of Frans Mathijsen and Anton Poldermans. The club was initially called Excelsior Rotterdam at its inauguration and it was called VV Roosendaal in 1920. Their present name is the result of a merger with another football team and on 16 July 1927 was known as 'Roosendaal Boys Combinatie' or RBC for short. Its stadium is the 5,000 seater Vast & Goed stadium in Roosendaal and was used to be called 'De Luiten'. Pre World War II successes are numerous but their last few seasons in the Dutch Eredivisie has been that of flirting with relegation. Its home colors are white and orange.
