Quonset Point

Quonset Point is a small peninsula in Narragansett Bay. It is contained entirely within North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Quonset Point gave its name to the Quonset hut, a standardized temporary structure used by the US military starting in World War II. It is the site of a hull-fabrication and outfitting facility for Electric Boat Corporation.
