Quiet As A Nun

Quiet as a Nun - A Tale of Murder (published 1977) by Antonia Fraser, is a thriller that begins with the death of a nun who apparently starved herself to death in a ruined tower adjoining the convent grounds. Jemima Shore, a television reporter, who knew the nun as a child, and knew she was heiress to one of the largest fortunes in Britain, remembers their childhood, and the formidable Reverend Mother Ancilla. She decides that something strange has happened and so the investigation begins.
