quantum explosion dynamo

The Quantum Explosion Dynamo (QED) is an object featured in the Commander Keen computer game, in episode 5, The Armageddon Machine. It is the heart of the Omegamatic, built by Mortimer McMire and allowing the Shikadi to blow up the galaxy with a "100,000 light year diameter quantum explosion". After destroying the QED at the end of the game, it turns out that the Omegamatic was only meant as a big distraction to keep Commander Keen from interfering with Mortimer McMire's real plans, paving the way for another series of Keen games; however, none were actually produced, as ultimately, id Software decided to move on to other projects.
