Puli, Nantou

Puli (埔里) is an urban township in Nantou County,Taiwan Province of the Republic of China. It is the geographic center of Taiwan. One of the main economic activities in Puli is tourism; this is because it is located in the mountainous center of Taiwan, and many tourist destination spots are located near this township. The most well-known is Sun Moon Lake, only a 30-minute drive from Puli. There is also a nationally owned brewery, as well as the largest Buddhist temple in Nantou County. In 1999, this town was struck hard by the 921 Earthquake

Education

National Chi Nan University is a 15-minute drive from the town center.
