Pseudopolis

Pseudopolis is one of the fictional cities of Sto Plains in Terry Pratchetts Discworld novels. It is the nearest major city to Ankh-Morpork, (approximately a half day's journey by horse) and is first mentioned in the first Discworld novel, The Colour of Magic The city is not to be confused with Pseudopolis Yard, the headquarters of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch - which is a reference to Scotland Yard.

  • Charlie, a man with an extraordinary resemblence to Ankh-Morpork Patrician Havelock Vetinari, ran a clothes shop there (The Truth).
