Przeworsk

Przeworsk is a town in south-eastern Poland with 16,600 inhabitants (2001). Situated in the Subcarpathian Voivodship (since 1999), it is the capital of Przeworsk County. It was a settlment in IX-XII centuries, first mentioned in historical records in the XIII century. It received its city charter in 1394. In 1772 it became part of the Austrian Empire where it remained until 1918 when it became part of independent Poland.
