Promachus

In Greek mythology, Promachus ("who leads in battle") referred to several different people.
  1. Son of Aeson and Alcimede, killed by Pelias along with his father while his brother, Jason, searched for the Golden Fleece.
  2. One of the Epigonoi.
  3. An epithet of Athena.
  4. A Greecian warrior in the Iliad, he was killed by Acamas.
