Princess Daisy

Princess Daisy is a Nintendo character who first appeared in Super Mario Land, where she was captured by Tatanga and rescued by Mario. Princess of Sarasaland, she is suspected by fans to be a relative of Princess Peach Toadstool and Luigi's girlfriend. Super Smash Brothers Melee calim she is a tomboy and confirm suspicions that she is Luigi's girlfriend. The first name Daisy is often wrongly applied to Princess Toadstool (sometimes she is simply confused with her), in part because Daisy replaced Toadstool as the princess to rescue in the Super Mario Bros. movie, which was made prior to the first name "Peach" being used in the United States for Princess Toadstool. In most of the games, this tomboy princess can be recognized from Peach by the color of her hair: Daisy has brown hair and Peach has blonde hair, although Daisy sometimes appears as a redhead. The colour of their dresses is also different, Daisy's being a yellow dress, while Peach's is pink.

Games with Daisy

She also makes an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Melee, where she is one of Princess Peach's alternate costumes, and a trophy.
Princess Daisy is the name by which Mary Teresa Cornwallis-West (1873-1943), wife of Hans Heinrich XV, Frst von Ple, was best known.
