Portland International Jetport

For the airport of Portland, Oregon, see Portland International Airport Portland International Jetport is an airport in Portland, Maine. It has the IATA Airport Code PWM. It originally was called Portland Westbrook Municipal. On September 11, 2001, Mohammed Atta and Abdulaziz al-Omari flew on a Colgan Air (US Airways Express) jet from Portland to Logan International Airport in Boston. From there, he hijacked American Airlines Flight 11 and crashed it into One World Trade Center. In late 2002, American Eagle left the Portland Jetport, one of its few remaining northeast destinations.
