Pindus

The Pindus (Greek: Πίνδος, Albanian: Pino) mountains are a range located in central Greece, roughly 160 km (100 miles) long, with a maximum elevation of 2636 m (8650 ft), along the border of Thessaly and Epirus. Pindus is often called "the spine of Greece". Along the mountain range, there are various linguistic enclaves where the Aromanian language is preserved and spoken besides Greek.
