Phil FoglioPhil Foglio (born 1956) is a cartoonist and comic book artist best known for his humorous science fiction and fantasy work. Foglio won two Hugo Awards for Best Fan Artist in 1977 and 1978. In the 1980s he wrote and illustrated a strip entitled "What's New?" for Dragon Magazine from TSR Games, satirizing the world of role-playing games. This exposure gained him considerable fame within the gaming community. Around the same time, he illustrated the MythAdventures series of fantasy novels by Robert Lynn Asprin, and he also adapted the first volume of that series, Another Fine Myth into a comic book series from WaRP Graphics. This led to a variety of other work in the comics business, including comics from DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and First Comics, as well as his own work such as Buck Godot. In the 1990s, he met and married his wife Kaja. The two of them contributed art to the collectible card game Magic The Gathering from Wizards of the Coast (and resurrected "What's New?" for WotC's Duelist magazine). Foglio also co-founded Palliard Press and published additional comic books, including a new Buck Godot series and the whimsical erotic series Xxxenophile. The Foglios later founded Studio Foglio and began to produce the retro-fantasy series Girl Genius. Partial bibliography External links Foglio, Phil Foglio, Phil Foglio, Phil
