Sir Peter Parker KBE LVO was a British businessman who served as chairman of the British Railways Board from 1976 to 1983 and guided the organisation through difficult times to the beginings of the resurgence in train travel in Britain. Born August 30, 1924 Died April 28, 2002 Sir Peter was knighted in 1978 and awarded a KBE in 1993.
