Penelope Keith

Penelope Keith, OBE, (born April 2, 1940) is a British actress, best known for her appearances in the BBC television sitcoms To the Manor Born and The Good Life. Her characters are usually likeable but pompous and slightly ridiculous upper-class ladies, as in the preceding examples. In 2000 she served as High Sheriff of Surrey. She was born in Sutton, Surrey, is married to Rodney Timson, and has two adopted sons.
