Paulo Ferreira

Paulo Ferreira was born Paulo Renato Rebocho Ferreira on 18 January,1979. He played as a right-back for the Portuguese National Team during Euro 2004. In 2003 he was voted into the uefa.com users' Team of 2003 ahead of Mchel Salgado, Lilian Thuram and Javier Zanetti. He played for FC Porto for four years before joining Chelsea for 13,200,000 at the beginning of the 2004-2005 season. At Stamford Bridge, Ferreira is joined with his former manager Jos Mourinho and former teammate Ricardo Carvalho, both of whom were signed by Chelsea in the offseason.
