Paul Ulrich Villard

Paul Ulrich Villard (1860 - 13 January 1934) was a French chemist and physicist, born near Lyon, France. He discovered gamma rays in 1900 while studying uranium. At this time he was working in the chemistry department of the cole Normale in rue d'Ulm, Paris. He died in Bayonne, France.
