Parliament Of Victoria

The Parliament of Victoria is a bicameral legislature. It comprises the Governor of Victoria, the Legislative Assembly or Lower House and the Legislative Council or Upper House. It sits at Parliament House, Melbourne and has for most of the last 150 years. This was interupted for a few decades when the Federal Parliament sat there. The Parliament has the power to make any laws for the State of Victoria, Australia. This is subject only to limitations placed on it by the Australian Federal Parliament.
