P.j. Ruttledge

Patrick J. Ruttledge (1892-1952) was a senior Irish politician. He was first elected to Dil ireann in 1921 as a Sinn Fin TD for Mayo. He retained his Dil seat until 1954 when he retired from politics. Ruttledge opposed the Anglo-Irish Treaty of 1921 and was a founder-member of Fianna Fil in 1926 as well as serving as a Cabinet Minister under Eamon de Valera.
