Otto WagnerOtto Koloman Wagner (born 13 July 1841 in Vienna-Penzing, died 11 April 1918 in Vienna) was an Austrian architect. He studied in Berlin and Vienna. In 1864 he started building his first buildings in the historicism style. In 1884 he became a teacher at the school of architecture at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. In the nineties of the 19th century he built serveral building in Art Nouveau style. He was very interested in urban planning, in 1890 he designed a new city plan for Vienna, but only his urban rail network was built, the Stadtbahn. In 1897 Otto Wagner, Gustav Klimt, Josef Olbrich, Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser founded the artist group "Vienna Secession". Major works - Floodgate, Nussdorf near Vienna, built in 1894
