Oliwa Forests

Oliwa forests are forests located in the Tricity, between Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot and Tricity Circle Highway. The biggest chunk of the continuous forest is located in Gdynia. The total area 199.2 km. The forests belonged to the monastery in Oliwa since 1188. Just after First Partition of Poland, on November 1 1772 King of Prussia took over the forests.
