Olivia Mitchell

Olivia Mitchell is an Irish Fine Gael politician. She is currently the Opposition Spokesperson for Transport. Olivia Mitchell was born in Birr, County Offaly. She was educated locally and at Trinity College Dublin where she qualified with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics. She first became involved in politics in 1985 when she was elected to Dublin County Council. She served on that authority until 2003. Mitchell was first elected to Dil ireann in 1997. In 2001 she received her first Front Bench position as Spokesperson on Housing & Local Government. She has also served as Opposition Spokesperson on Health & Children (2002-2004).
