Old Town Pasadena

Old Town Pasadena, also Old Pasadena, is a business district in the city of Pasadena, California. It was previously run-down with abandoned buildings. However, investments breathed new life into the area. Old Town has a shopping mall, upscale restaurants, nightclubs, chic boutiques, posh outdoor cafs, pubs, and comedy clubs. Hence, the nightlife is very active in the area and it remains a popular tourist attraction for locals and out-of-towners alike. Old Town Pasadena is now connected to Downtown Los Angeles via the new Metro Gold Line light rail. The Del Mar stop is less than two blocks from Colorado Blvd. In many cases, Old Town Pasadena has served as the archetype - and to lesser extent, envy - for other communities such as the proposed redevelopment of Downtown Los Angeles as center of nightlife (with the Walt Disney Concert Hall serving as an anchor) and it has also inspired the redevelopment of San Diego's Gaslight District in California.
