nyborg

Nyborg is a municipality in central Denmark, in the county of Funen (Danish Fyn). The municipality covers an area of 81,26 km², and has a total population of 18,333. Nyborg was founded in 1193 next to Nyborg castle, which still exists today. Mayor of Nyborg is currently Jrn Terndrup from Venstre, which holds the majority together with Konservative, Dansk Folkeparti and Ny-borgerne in Nyborg Council. In 2007 Nyborg municipality will be merged with Ullerselv and rbk creating one large municipality which proberly will be called stfyn municipality.
