Nunsthorpe

Nunsthorpe is an area located towards the western edge of Grimsby, a town in North East Lincolnshire (England). The area is dominated by the Nunsthorpe housing estate, which was originally built in the 1950s to provide housing to young families. Prior to the creation of the estate, Nunsthorpe housed over 8,000 people, many of whom had been transferred there from demolished slums in nearby areas. Nunsthorpe is informally referred to as "Nunny" by the inhabitants of Grimsby.
