Nowa Ruda

Nowa Ruda (German Neurode, Czech Nov Ruda) is a town in southwestern Poland with 27,200 inhabitants (1995). Situated in the Lower Silesian Voivodship (since 1999), previously in Wałbrzych Voivodship (1975-1998). Founded as Newenrode in 1363; the status of a town was renewed in 1434 and 1596.
