Northern Norway

In norwegian: "Nord-Norge" meaning Northern Norway. The term Nord-Norge consist of the three nortern countys Nordland, Troms and Finnmark. An inhabitant of one of these countys are called "nordlending". Nordlending is a commonly used expression and is not disparaging.

The largest towns in Northern Norway: Bod, Narvik, Harstad, Troms, Alta, Hammerfest Inhabitants (2002): 462.908. Total inhabitants in Norway (2004): 4.574.560
