Geography North Bend is located at 39°8'59" North, 84°44'45" West (39.149658, -84.745828). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.0 km² (1.2 mi²). 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 7.69% water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 603 people, 253 households, and 182 families residing in the village. The population density is 215.6/km² (560.3/mi²). There are 290 housing units at an average density of 103.7/km² (269.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 99.83% White, 0.17% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 253 households out of which 28.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.1% are married couples living together, 8.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.7% are non-families. 24.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.38 and the average family size is 2.80. In the village the population is spread out with 22.2% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 31.2% from 45 to 64, and 15.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 43 years. For every 100 females there are 93.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.2 males. The median income for a household in the village is $51,979, and the median income for a family is $60,833. Males have a median income of $45,000 versus $26,563 for females.
