Nipponized English TermsTerms here are terms used by the Japanese, which are actually Japanese pronounciations of English terms (so-called Engrish), used in Japan, by Japanese, in Japanese speech, language. Many often abbrievate English phrases, by taking the first syllable of each word e.g. Sekuhara (Sex-ual Hara-ssment) - ''Gairaigo (外来語) is Japanese for "loan word" or "borrowed word," and indicates a transliteration (or "transvocalization") into Japanese. In particular, the word usually refers to a modern Japanese word of foreign origin that was not borrowed from or via Chinese. (Some Sanskrit terms such as Dhyana -> Zen'' have come via Chinese)
