(

) was a
French
astronomer. Her husband
Jean Andr Lepaute
—whom she married in

(
Knowledge of the times
). She also correctly predicted the return of

in

in the calculation of the attraction of
Jupiter
and
Saturn
on
Halley's Comet
.
Lalande
