Birth Date: July 30, 1981
Birth Place: Owensboro, Kentucky

Nicky Hayden, also known as The Kentucky Kid, has been racing motorcycles most of his life. He was racing a factory Honda RC45 Superbike while still in high school at age 17. Nicky ended his first year in MotoGP (2003) 5th place in points, more than enough to take Rookie of the Year honors.

Siblings:

Two brothers, Tommy Hayden and Roger Lee Hayden, both professional motorcycle racers in the AMA. Two sisters, Jenny and Kathleen.

Personal Heroes:

Bubba Shobert - AMA Grand National Dirt Track Champion (1985-1987), AMA Superbike Champion (1988).
Will Davis - Runner up 2000 AMA Grand National Dirt Track Championship; killed tragically August 25, 2001 at an AMA Grand National Championship race in Sedalia, Missouri.
Lance Armstrong - 6-time Tour de France winner.
