Nicktoons Film FestivalThe Nicktoons Film Festival is a competition presenting independent animated shorts. It premiered on Nickelodeon's NickToons channel on October 24, 2004. Its grand prize winner will receive $10,000. The festival was created by former Hanna-Barbera president Fred Seibert, and was produced by Frederator Studios and Animation magazine for the Nicktoons digital cable channel. The other festival directors include former Animation Magazine Editor-in-Chief Rita Street, and Frederator creative executive Eric Homan. First year Grand Jury judges were John Kricfalusi (Ren & Stimpy), Gabor Csupo (Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys), and Eric Goldberg (Aladdin, ). First year winners The second annual Nicktoons Film Festival will run during the month of August of 2005.
