Newsday

Newsday is a daily tabloid newspaper which primarily serves Long Island and the New York City borough of Queens, although it is sold throughout the greater New York City metropolitan area. First published on September 3, 1940, it is usually ranked among the top ten newspapers in circulation in the United States. In 1985, Newsday established a New York City edition, only to see it fold in 1995. Despite having a tabloid format, Newsday is not known for being as sensationalistic as other daily tabloids such as the New York Daily News and the New York Post. Newsday is owned by the Tribune Corporation
