New Day Rising is a 1985 hardcore punk album by the Minnesota band Hsker D, released on SST Records. In contrast to their previous album, Zen Arcade, the majority of which was recorded in one take, New Day Rising featured a more structured, melodic sound, while retaining the viciousness of their earlier records.
