Neville BuswellNeville Buswell (born January 20, 1943 in Prestbury, Cheshire) is a British actor, best known for his role as Ray Langton in Coronation Street. Buswell first started on the soap opera in 1966 and was a very popular character for twelve years, until he chose not to renew his contract rather abruptly in late 1978. He opted to move to the United States to be with his wife and her relatives. In the story, Ray was written out as abruptly leaving his wife Deirdre and young daughter to live in Amsterdam. For the next twenty years, Buswell worked as a bank teller at a number of casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was asked to play a bit role in the one-off special Viva Las Vegas, and eventually returned to the United Kingdom in 2004.
