Network Solutions

right The company Network Solutions, Inc. is a registrar of domain names. As of 24 March 2004, Network Solutions claims (as cited in a news release listed in the "References" section) to "manage" more than 7.8 million domain names. In 2000, Network Solutions was acquired by VeriSign which sold the company again in November 26, 2003 and purchased by Pivotal Private Equity for the price of $100 million. Network Solutions provides a 100 Year Domain Service, a service to register a domain name for one year (presumably a calendar year) and then to automatically renew the domain name each sequential year for the next ninety-nine years, at a total price of 1,000 USD. March 2, 2005 Network Solutions introduced a new form of Web site hosting packages for both Windows/Unix architectures.
