Ned Washington

Ned Washington (15 August, 1901 - 20 December 1976) was an American lyric writer. Washington was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Washington was nominated for eleven Academy Awards from 1940 to 1962. He won the Best Original Music award twice for "When You Wish Upon A Star" in Pinocchio in 1940 and "High Noon (Do Not Forsake Me, Oh My Darlin')" in High Noon in 1952. Washington died in Beverly Hills, California. Some of Washington's most famous songs include
