National Security Archive
is an independent organization located in
George Washington University
. It uses declassified
U.S. government
files to publicize facts about American foreign policy and information about high ranking federal officials that were previously veiled in secrecy. A prominent subject covered on the site is some of the controversial foreign-policy decisions made by
