National Crime Information Center

The National Crime Information Center (NCIC) is the US's central database for tracking [crime-related information, including wanted persons, firearms, stolen property, criminal histories, traffic offense notices, and more. Operated by the FBI, it receives input from government agencies and all fifty state governments.
