Mount RokkoMt. Rokko (六甲山 Rokkō-san) is a mountain on the north of Kobe, Japan. With a height of 931 m, it is the centerpiece of a popular sightseeing and hiking area that stretches some tens of kilometers. Mt. Rokko is a symbol of Kobe as well as Osaka. Mt. Rokko was first opened to the public by Arthur Groom in 1901 and became a popular retreat for foreigners. Mr. Groom opened the first Golf course in Japan on Mt. Rokko in 1903. See also
