Mount Parnassus

Mount Parnassus (also Mount Parnassos) is a mountain in central Greece that towers above Delphi. According to Greek mythology, this mountain was sacred to Apollo and the home of the Muses. The slopes of Parnassos are also the location of two ski centres. The Parnassos Ski Centre is compromised of two sections, Kellaria and Fterolakka, and together make up the largest ski center in Greece. A smaller ski centre (only two drag lifts) called Gerontovrahos is across a ridge from Kellaria. Mount Parnassus was once the name of the existing Mount Sutro in San Francisco, California. It was renamed to Mount Sutro after Adolph Sutro, who had once been mayor of the city. Parnassus
