Moses Schnfinkel

Moses Schnfinkel was a Russian logician. He invented combinatory logic independently of, and a little earlier than, Haskell Curry. Schnfinkel published his logic in a paper called ber die Bausteine der mathematischen Logik (On the building blocks of mathematical logic) in 1924. The article also introduced what is now called currying after Haskell Curry, the terminology Schnfinkeling having found few adherents. Unlike Haskell Curry, he appears not to have developed combinatory logic any further. Schnfinkel, Moses
