Mortal Kombat Trilogy

Mortal Kombat Trilogy is an anthology in the Mortal Kombat video game series. It is considered to be the last remake of Mortal Kombat 3, following Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

New characters

Every character that has ever been in a Mortal Kombat game appears in MKT. It is for this reason, and the fact that one can play as any of these characters, that the game is considered by many as the best game in the series. Along with the Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 roster, MKT adds Baraka, Goro, Johnny Cage, Kintaro, Mileena, Rayden, and "classic" versions of Jax, Kung Lao, and Smoke.

New to the series

  • MKT introduces the Aggression bar, which fills as the combatants fight. When the bar fills, the character becomes much faster and stronger.
  • Console versions include 3-on-3 simultaneous battles and player-versus-player Endurance matches, wherein both players choose a lineup of up to 8 characters, and battle until one player is defeated.

Storyline

MKT's storyline is not significantly changed from Mortal Kombat 3. Mortal Kombat Trilogy follows Mortal Kombat 3 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and precedes Mortal Kombat 4.
