Geography Moore is located at 29°3'56" North, 99°0'48" West (29.065636, -99.013345). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 80.9 km² (31.2 mi²). 80.9 km² (31.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.06% water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 644 people, 248 households, and 182 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 8.0/km² (20.6/mi²). There are 283 housing units at an average density of 3.5/km² (9.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 85.09% White, 0.47% African American, 1.40% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.31% Pacific Islander, 10.09% from other races, and 2.64% from two or more races. 46.27% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 248 households out of which 29.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.6% are married couples living together, 10.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.6% are non-families. 23.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.56 and the average family size is 3.02. In the CDP the population is spread out with 25.6% under the age of 18, 4.5% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 27.0% from 45 to 64, and 17.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 107.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 100.4 males. The median income for a household in the CDP is $39,063, and the median income for a family is $40,774. Males have a median income of $24,531 versus $28,281 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $15,975. 15.4% of the population and 9.9% of families are below the poverty line.
