| Moltres is a yellow fire bird Pokmon with burning wings. Moltres is Pokmon #146 and it is both Fire type and Flying type. It is one of the three legendary bird Pokmon, with the other two being Articuno and Zapdos. This is the Fire type of these birds. Name Origin "Moltres" comes from the words "molten", because it is a fire-type, and "tres", Spanish for "three", denoting that Moltres is numerically the third of the Legendary Birds. Information Moltres is known as the legendary bird of fire. Every flap of its wings creates a dazzling flash of flames. As it flaps its flaming wings, even the night sky will turn red. This legendary Pokmon scatters embers with every flap of its wings. It is said to bring early spring to the wintry lands it visits. If this Pokmon is injured, it is said to dip its body in the molten magma of a volcano to burn and heal itself. Some people used to think that Moltres did not really exist but nonetheless they were able to catch one to light the torch of the parade before the Indigo League Pokmon battle every year like the Olympics. A Moltres is the proud symbol of the Indigo League. In Japanese, Moltres is called Fire.
