Mklinux

MkLinux is an Open Source Software project, initiated by OSF Research Institute and Apple Computer, in order to port Linux to the PowerPC platform. MkLinux is short for "Microkernel Linux," referring to the project's adaptation of the Linux kernel to run as a server hosted atop the Mach Microkernel. MkLinux is based on version 3.0 of Mach. The project began in 1998 and has today (according to their own estimation) 50,000 to 100,000 installed users.
