Minatitln, Veracruz

Minatitln is a municipality in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. It is bordered by the municipalities of Las Choapas, Coatzacoalcos, and Jltipan; it stands on the railway and on Federal Highway 121. Its major products are corn, fruits, sugar, rice. It is a sister city of Minatitln in the state of Colima, on the other side of the country. There is one of the six oil refining facilities in Mexico. The refining complex proces 180 thousend barrells per day and produces diesel, fuel oil, and gasoline. Its economy is basically made from the petroleum industry
